The Camargue is located in the south of France on the shores of the Mediterranean Ocean.  You would be staying in a small hotel in the town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer which is located 1.5 hours by car from the International Airport in the big city of Marseille.  There are plenty of small hotels in Sainte-Maries-de-la-Mer.  Check Booking.com, VRBO.com and AirBnB.com for availability.

You would want to fly to the city of Marseille, rent a car, and then drive to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.    Return flights for these dates from New York cost $900 on Expedia and small hotels cost about $200 per night.

So Much More To See...
The timing of this workshop is PERFECT to experience and photograph France.  The world famous lavender fields of southern France will be in full bloom at this time.  The town of Valensole (1.5 hours away) provides the best photo opportunities of the lone tree on the horizon with long leading lines of lavender rows in the foreground.  If this is something you are considering, then you will want to shoot the lavender first, before the Camargue because of harvest times.  Also, the Bastille Day fireworks on July 14th at the Eiffel Tower is incredible.   Check out some of Tim's photos from France below.
